It’s concerning to note that there are over 40 million people in the USA who suffer from anxiety, with some statistics suggesting that nearly one out of five adults are affected. This highlights the importance of raising awareness about mental health and ensuring that support and resources are readily available for those in need.

Anxiety is how our bodies respond to stress either physical, mental, or emotional. Our heart rate increases, our breath shortens, and we often sweat. These sensations inform us that whatever is going on, we’ll be able to respond quickly and with sharp discernment. This is great in a pinch. When we’re feeling threatened for prolonged periods, our bodies cannot sustain this surge of urgency.

It’s undeniable that the past few years have been marked by significant challenges for humanity and the planet. From global pandemics and prolonged war zones to climate change and democratic breakdowns, the onslaught of threats has been substantial. The impact of these events on various aspects of our lives has been profound. When we being assaulted with continuous alerts that the sky is falling, it’s difficult to believe we are at the right place, right time, doing the right thing, right now.

A current study demonstrates that LSD can offer long term relief from general anxiety disorder.

“The data available to us at this time show that patients experienced meaningful and lasting symptom reduction. Four weeks following a single dose of MM-120, 78% of participants who received either a 100 or 200 µg dose measured as having a clinically significant response to the drug. 50% of participants who received the 100 µg dose were considered to be in clinical remission at Week 4, meaning that the patient no longer suffered from clinically significant symptoms of GAD.”— Dr. Daniel Karlin

The Potential Benefits of Microdosing LSD for Anxiety Relief

In my private practice, my clients who microdose with LSD report that they experience a relief from anxiety. According to their experiences, psychedelics assist in facing, engaging, and actively participating in various aspects of life, allowing for a heightened awareness of personal impact and existence. They often describe a calming sensation that facilitates easier breathing, diminished feelings of urgency, and an enhanced sense of agency in their lives.

LSD in the form of a tincture is a preferred method for microdosing. The substance is diluted in alcohol for capillary absorption, bypassing the digestive tract. As you see in this image, the bottle is stored in a sealable bag to reduce evaporation.

LSD is not for those who are on anti-anxiety medications or anti-depressants. These pharmaceutical drugs often blunt the affects of psychedelics. If you have been prescribed a medication by your medical provider, please contact your health provider before consuming pychedelics such as psilocybin, LSD or MDMA.
